When You Call
It helps if you can tell us:
- What the system is doing, such as blowing warm air, not turning on, leaking water or making a noise
- Whether the outdoor unit is running
- Where the indoor unit is located
- The brand and age of the system, if you know it
- When someone will be home
Before the Technician Arrives
- Ice on the lines: set the thermostat to Off and the fan to On.
- Outdoor unit humming but the fan isn't spinning: turn the system off.
- Tripped breaker: reset it once. If it trips again, leave it off.
- Water leaking: turn the system off and put down a towel.
- Gas smell: leave the house and call 911 and Atmos Energy at 866-322-8667.
